Lift coefficient (for an airfoil section)
Description
The lift coefficient is a dimensionless coefficient that relates the lift generated by a lifting body to the density of the fluid around the body, its velocity and an associated reference area. The section lift coefficient is refers to the dynamic lift characteristics of a two-dimensional foil section, with the reference area replaced by the foil chord ( imaginary straight line joining the leading and trailing edges of an airfoil )
