Heat flux (Advection)

Description

Heat transfer describes the exchange of thermal energy, between physical systems depending on the temperature and pressure, by dissipating heat. The fundamental modes of heat transfer are conduction or diffusion, convection, advection and radiation. By transferring matter, energy—including thermal energy—is moved by the physical transfer of a hot or cold object, from one place to another. The heat flux by advection is related to the density, the heat capacity at constant pressure, the change in temperature and the velocity of the heat transfer.
