Coulomb's constant

Description

Coulomb’s constant, the electric force constant, or the electrostatic constant (denoted ke ) is a proportionality constant in equations relating electric variables. Coulomb’s constant can be empirically derived as the constant of proportionality in Coulomb’s law. Coulomb’s constant is related to the physical constant ε0, commonly called the vacuum permittivity, permittivity of free space or electric constant, and is an ideal physical constant, which is the value of the absolute dielectric permittivity of classical vacuum.
